Sorry!

I have not been bothering with this at all! I've been so busy this past year. Chris got a job and we booked our wedding for 22nd March 2015 so wedding plans are well under way! Only took us 8 years haha.

Anyway, I've been neglecting my stitching and don't have much to show to be honest but here is an update on Solstice and Equinox at present. I'm currently in kreinik heaven :)

I've stitched more than this now and will post another pic when I have a page finish.  I love my needle minders! I have a great selection courtesy of No More Lost Needles. Here is a selection of some that I have.

I have also came across some new Cross Stitch Designers such as Love Thy Thread, Tilton Crafts, Paine Free Crafts and Alessandra Adelaide Needlework.

Solstice & Equinox Mini Update

I've decided to start showing mini updates as it can take me a long time to finish a page on a chart. I now have a whole dragon head! I'm at the halfway point of page 2 and I'm starting to see the second wing! It's a shame the sparklies don't show up aswell on camera. I'm really enjoying stitching this one so far. I'm thinking I'll stick with it until I've finished page 3 before I go back to QS Siberian Forest. I might aswell since I am on a roll =)

Current WIP's

Realised I haven't shown my other two WIP's in a good while. I haven't made a lot of progress to be honest! QS Siberian Forest I've completed the first page. Soltice and Equinox I'm now working on the second page and will show another update soon. I'm stitching the sparklies with Kreinik Blending Filament 032 two over one as I like the effect it gives. It's surprisingly easy to work with when you have thread heaven to hand!

SK Sunny Complete

I finally finished her! She was my first real experience of confetti stitching and I lost my way with her for some time. It took me a long time to find a way to stitch confetti heavy which was right for me *thank goodness for parking!*. I'm so glad I finally went back to her and that she didn't become a UFO.

She's too pretty and colourful to be put aside! I stiched her 1 over 1 on 25ct White Evenweave.

I've been naughty!

I've completely ignored my blog for way too long! Can't believe it. I have an 'almost finish' which I think will be a great way to get this back in form. I'll make it my aim to post a lot more often and keep checking everyone else's work.I'll post my finish over the next couple of weeks!

Liebster Award

I've also gone and purchased Christmas Wonder by Strelkina =D

I completely feel in love with it as soon as it was charted.

New Year, New Start

Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you all the best of luck for 2012 =).

What better way to start the year than a new start? I'm taking part in the 2012 SAL with QS Siberian Forest. I'll be posting update pictures every month to help motivate me!

I've also done my yearly goals for this year. My aims are;

• Complete SK Sunny (1 page left)
• Complete page 1 and 2 of Solstice and Equinox (at least!)
• Complete page 1 of SAL QS Siberian Forest.

Might not seem like much but I've got a busy year ahead!

Merry Christmas!

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I finally have a page finish! Page 2 SK Sunny is now complete which means I have finished my yearly goals! Very happy with myself =).


I bought two charts aswell recently as part of my xmas from my future in-laws......yes I got engaged!! Sooooo happy and feel very lucky to have him in my life =). I got Queen of Hearts Cameo (Anderson) and Water Faery (Strelkina).




I was also very lucky to be gifted two RAK's, one fron Nancy (Christmas Dreams - Gelsinger) and one from Diva (Michelle Davis) (Kuik Montage). They were so kind and I can't thank them enough =)

Sweet September

Well, winter is almost upon us. We have predictions for snow already! I'm getting ready with my winter coat and boots lol.

I still have no page finishes yet. Haven't had much stitchy time as I have a lot going on at the moment and some days I just don't have the heart for it.

I have however bought another chart! I had to get Fairy Sisters before Fain is retired and here is how she should look;

 Looking forward to stitching this up. Lots of block colour yet very effective.

Couldn't resist the HAED Sale!

30% off! You can't knock that lol. Didn't want to spend much as I already have a lot of charts (looks at 'Future Projects') so decided to buy QS Moon Amethyst - Nene Thomas. I love her work but can't start another full size chart so this QS is a perfect size to add into my rotations at some point. What can I say......I'm weak!

Solstice & Equinox Started!

Finally started it! I managed approx 1380 stitches as part of the SAL. Not nearly as much as I would have liked but still proud. It's been a pleasure to stitch on so far, even the sparklies.



Next pic I post of this will be a page finish. Might take a while as I'm rotating with SK Sunny weekly.

New Start!

I've finally started Solstice and Equinox! I'm so excited. I'm stitching it for my boyfriend Chris so it is a labour of love =). It has 136800 stitches in it and I am stitching it on 25 ct Magic Guide evenweave 1 over 1. I will post an update picture at the end of next week but don't think I will have a page done yet. Here is a pic of what it should look like when finished;

TT Purple Dragon Finished.....

A while ago! I forgot to post a finished pic so here she is. Thanks to the reward scheme I got TT Kitten 2 for free. It's so tiny! It will be a pleasure to stitch =D

Heya! I haven't posted anything in a while. I've been busy working away on SK Sunny and have a whole page complete! Currently working on page 2. I'm all ready to start my first BAP this month aswell; Solstice and Equinox. Can't wait to get started =)

TT Purple Dragon Update 15/01/11

Here is TT Purple Dragon as of last night. I'm at 8200 stitches so 74% complete! The next time you see her she will be finished!

Goals for 2011

Happy New Year everyone!

I've set up my goals for this year in the hope it will keep me focused and spur me on. They are ~

• Finish TT Purple Dragon (I should manage this fine!) - Currently at approx 7000 stitches out of 11016.
• Finish page 1 and 2 of SK Sunny ( Hoping to just completely finish it but not confident enough to add in the last page!) - Currently at 1200 stitches out of 21375.
• Make a start of first BAP, Solstice and Equinox.

They might not seem like big hopes but to me they are lol. Last year I did so badly with my stitchy bug and it wasn't until the last few months I really got back into it again. I'm on a run at the moment so I hope it stays!

I'll post another update on TT Purple Dragon once I have completely finished the first page, after that it should be the final finish!
